This wine looks bright red, but slightly dusty and smells like sour fruits and berries such as currants and rhubarb. It has clear natural wine notes of yeast with a nice acidity, light tannins, raspberries and light chocolate.
Valpolicella DOC is produced from 80% corvina and 20% rondinella. The wine is naturally and spontaneously fermented in oak barrels. The wine ages for 6 months in oak casks and is bottled unfiltered, with a little sulfur added at bottling.
